If you are an electrician, instrument technician, or a do it your selfer, you need these. When you have wires ready to be terminated you need to be sure which wires are which.

Hook one phone to one of the wires in the bundle and to a ground. Hook the other phone to a ground and consecutive wires one at a time at the other end until you hear the connection. Then you can talk to the other electrician on the other phone on the wire you are marking so you will be sure to mark the wires the same on both ends.
